As Shane pointed out on his blog, we have been on the road for about a week now as part of an Information Worker Deep Dive tour that took place in Halifax and Ottawa. Everything went great and we had an opportunity to meet a tonne of fantastic people. It was great to get out and talk to people on the value of Project Server and SharePoint and then show them some of the great tips and tricks we have picked up over the past 4 years while working on each platform.
It was also great to get out of the office and spend some time with the team on the road. Most times when I travel, I do so alone so this has been an awesome trip for me. It’s great to get to know everyone a little deeper and share some of the fun associated with these types of events.
However, today I feel a little relieved that I am heading home as I am going through some major 360 withdrawal. 2006 has been absolutely crazy so far between my work and personal life. At work we have been going crazy ramping up for new releases of our products, delivering on professional services projects, and prepping for this tour. In addition to that, I’ve been adjusting to my new role within INETA and gearing up for an exciting new year of projects that will really help us further connect with the community. Not to mention heavy duty SharePoint 2007 beta testing and a couple of other things Shane and I have been doing in the background related to the SharePoint realm of things.
As a result, my gamerscore has not changed since the New Year as I can barely get a chance to play my Xbox 360 I was even considering taking it on the road with me this time but figured it would only be neglected as there was a lot to do and likely little time to play.
I am looking forward to getting home, kicking back and catching up on some gaming. Last week I had a brief introduction to Fight Night: Round 3 and I definitely liked what I saw. Maybe a couple of rounds in the ring is just what I need right about now.
